Gutter + facade FIX AND ROOF RESTORATION
Savannah, Georgia
This project was a fine example of old-world craftsmanship that we restored
and slightly modified to bring it up-to-date.
This home had a box gutter that was leaking and had rotted the façade of the house. The gutter was not built typically - it was built on a platform that rested on the corbels.
We disassembled the original box gutter system, repaired the old corbels and fabricated new ones as needed, and
put in a new platform.
We then fabricated a beautiful solid copper gutter, adding hurricane straps to secure it. This way, water would flow into the gutter and high winds could not blow rain up under the roof edge.
After fabricating a new solid copper gutter and extra trim to match the crown pattern, we finished everything up with fresh paint. Now the home is up-to-date and safe from hurricane winds, yet with the old-world craftsmanship intact!
